Automate Events based on Calendar Appointments

I'd like to automate a follow up appointment based on the meeting date, not the date the appointment is booked.
I can add an event generator to a calendar appointment (or to the kickoff form used with the calendar appointment). But the event generator is triggered based on the day the appointment is scheduled, not based on the actual appointment. This makes a follow-up event useless as the follow-up event occurs before the appointment.

This is now possible using "Schedules" as described here: www.screencast.com/t/T1Sn09XU
Simply create a Scheduled Automation and connect it to the Appointment Type. For each Appointment booked, the date of the Appointment & the identity of the Target will be passed to the Schedule as the Based on Date, and all Automations will be scheduled around that Based on Date.

So we should be able to trigger a few days or hours before the calendar event and also after the calendar event.
