Email Template Placeholder (UserName)

In the Project Email templates the Placeholder clearly states User:name and there appears to be a separate [company:name] placeholder as well.

However the emails that get generated, appear to use the Company name. I understand that this likely has something to do with "Company First" mode, however for emails when you are trying to personalized them, not having the ability to use the actual "username" does not look great.
