A Contact should be able to be the primary contact of multiple Companies.
This is common sense in real life, thus makes no sense to put only one primary contact for one company.

Marking this one complete. The comments here consist of many different feature requests, but the majority are asking that a single Contact can be the Primary Contact for multiple Companies, which is now possible. We will start new Feature Requests for "Billing Contact" and "Multiple Primary Contacts for a Company"
Kristin Heffley
And please, please, please allow us to designate someone other than the primary contact as the billing contact. I have multiple clients who want their invoices to go to a different person.
Mike
Sorry all, mistakenly marked this one as LIVE.
BUT, this is one of the features that WILL now be possible now that Company First 2.0 is LIVE. Sorry can't provide a timeline, but we are already discussing and planning.
Thanks,
Mike

I'm wondering how this will effect invoices if applicable? An invoice is attached to a company, so having a primary across multiple companies won't affect how invoices are being charged correct? Even if the Primary has the same e-mail address?
e.g. Currently in Stripe, many of us had to create work-around email addresses for these primary contacts. In Stripe, they show as separate customers.
Which is what allows us to charge different bank accounts/credit cards.
If a Primary is now going to have one email address: (e.g. mike@suitedash.com) across multiple companies, will our invoices get messed up? Especially those on subscriptions?

We should really have the ability to add more than 1 primary contact to a company - this could fix a lot of issues when it comes to multi-location businesses where more than one person needs to act on behalf of a company (at the company level)
Alexander Donner
The lack of ability for a contact to log in a single time and have access to all of their companies' info is definitely hurting our ability to use SD. Is there an update on having that live? It isn't currently on the roadmap.
Christopher Esmeres
what's the update on this? thanks
Luke Fletcher
Is there any update on the timing for this? Just starting out on our SuiteDash journey but this feature will be essential for us.

Would be an even bigger help to our team if a company could have more than one primary contact. At present secondary contacts cannot submit work requests for a company project. Effectively there's no way for them to add a new task to a project we're working on.

The issue I have is the reverse of this I think. We have 3 companies (share some customers and product lines , suppliers), sales work for all three companies and are looking to be able to quote and invoice within one app for any of the 3 companies. I have included a screenshot of how it shows up in Odoo. We would love to go with you guys and are trialling Odoo for this feature.

Woo hoo in testing mode. Nice work Suitedash. Let us know if we can be the beta tester. :)

A bonus would be to be able to see all contacts associated with a company when looking at that company without having to create circles.

+1 voting for this - this is a MUST HAVE for SuiteDash to be viable for accountants/any firm
Andrew B.
This change would be an absolute game changer for us. A lot of the Contacts that we work with have multiple Companies; it is difficult to fully dive-in with SuiteDash without this change. In case it helps the SuiteDash team's thinking on this: Corporations are treated as "people" under the law, so legally they are distinct and separate from their owners. Happy to discuss any time!

Any update here? I really cannot implement my portal for tax season without this

Can't wait to see it "In Progress"

Yep, I have clients that run a franchise and need to be the primary contact for each location, even though they are handled as separate companies.

I would like the ability for a primary contact to be assigned to more than one company. I am an accountant and some of my clients have 2 or more businesses. As it stands now I have to add the owner and create a separate shared folder for each business since I can not add multiple companies to the CRM because they have the same primary contact.
Libby
Yes! This is a critical issue for us!

Giving a +1 here. In my use case, I have "Companies" redefined as "Families." The majority of families have more than one parent. I'd like the ability to add both parents and share "child" variables between them - to include the option of sending email notices to all identified contacts of the same company/family.
CPA
Agree, makes no sense the way its now

Merged with: Contact relations to Company

A Contact should be able to be the primary contact of multiple Companies and a Company should be able to have multiple primary Contacts. It makes little sense to have only one (1) primary Contact for one (1) Company, thus you would have to create duplicate Contacts.

Upvoting this. I have a client with different companies, and had to create one "contact" with the same name for each.
saviodesigns
definitely need this ability
